About Sandy

It is a truth universally acknowledged that a designer in possession of good taste must be in want of a well-organized dashboard. I’m equal parts Marcus Aurelius (composure), John le Carré (reading a room like a dead drop), and a mildly excessive number of opinions on 19th-century novels. I spend my days making complicated things simple, and my evenings making simple things complicated, usually in the kitchen, occasionally in a heated theological debate. Trust me with your product roadmap. Not with the last word on Howards End.

For the record: I’m a Product UX/UI designer and brand strategist with 25+ years of enterprise and agency experience. That kind of runway means I see the business problem, not just the design ask — and I stay committed when it counts.

About Sandy
Professional Experience

25+ years as a creative professional. Seventeen years in FinTech and financial services, covering brand marketing, product UX/UI, and AI-integrated design workflows across three global enterprises. Before the enterprise years, nine years split between tobacco advertising, direct mail, and running my own design and photography studio in Chelsea, all at once. Back when catalogs ruled the mailbox. Same eye for clarity, different era. Timeline below, most recent first.

JPMorgan Chase

Jul 2025 – Jun 2026

Consultant, Senior UX Designer (PXD)

Part of the Payment and Domain Services team, I supported the business account onboarding journey and vision design as part of the broader team, and led the UX enhancement and redesign of an internal platform used for Treasury and Domain Services onboarding and KYC. Enterprise AI tools were part of the workflow throughout, helping speed up concept validation and creative output.

Citigroup

Apr 2021 – May 2025

Contract, Senior Product Designer (EED/ Data Visualization)

Working across multiple product teams, I designed enterprise tools and customer-facing experiences for global audiences in executive analytics, institutional trading, consumer products, and employee tools. This included dashboards for real-time risk and compliance reporting, UX design for CitiShop, a rewards platform for 2M+ card members, and support for the FXPulse trading system and Citi Velocity’s global microsites. I also led end-to-end UX for a suite of internal employee tools, partnering with Product and Engineering to keep quality high.

Morgan Stanley

Sept 2010 – Feb 2021

Art Director, Principal Designer at RRD/Morgan Stanley

For over 10 years, I led studio production at Morgan Stanley, overseeing the studio process, asset library, and job server management, and developed the brand guidelines and playbooks adopted firm-wide. This included designing and producing 500+ brand and marketing materials, from investment collateral to advisor campaigns. Two overseas trips supported the Morgan Stanley Asia Studio and APAC events, alongside ongoing mentorship and production reviews with the offshore team in Chennai.

Independent Designer

1999 – 2010

Freelance agency work and studio ownership

Early in my career, I spent eight years with Agent16 (formerly Mezzina Brown & Partners) on tobacco and spirits advertising, including RJ Reynolds brands like Camel, KOOL and Winston cigarettes and Three Olives Vodka, while freelancing with agencies like Bozell, TBWA\Chiat\Day and Grey Advertising on retail and direct marketing campaigns. The work ranged from national campaigns and packaging systems to pitch decks that helped agencies land new business, alongside hands-on production and pre-press work to keep every deliverable polished under tight deadlines.

At the same time, I ran my own design and photography studio in Chelsea, New York City, with a business partner, focused on catalog creation during the golden era of direct marketing: catalogs, brochures, and mailers for a range of retail clients. Four years of hands-on entrepreneurship, managing everything from client relationships to production and delivery.
